The month of March is upon us, and that means Oracle users have a new series of new OAUG-ITC Oracle Applications Workshops open to them to help them boost their skills.

What Are the “Oracle Applications Workshops”?

The Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG) and IT Convergence began teaming up last August to host a series of Oracle Applications Workshops to give the Oracle End-User community a cost effective option for obtaining business – focused Oracle training.

The courses began in New York City in August of 2009, and were expanded to San Francisco in January of 2010.

The workshop series began with a focus on Oracle R12, 11g, and OBIEE, but has since expanded to include other topics such as Dynamic Documentation and Global Rollouts, as well as courses focusing on core Oracle Financials topics.

Who Should Attend These Workshops?

As the workshops cover a wide ranged of functional, technical, and business topics almost any Oracle professional who needs to beef up their skill set can find a Workshop that is relevant to their career.

While many of our attendees have come from the Greater New York and San Francisco areas, people have come from all over the United States. We’ve even had one student come from as far as Tanzania, and a large group of students is coming in from Canada in April.

These Workshops Are Sponsored by the OAUG, Do I Have to Be an OAUG Member to Attend?

No, absolutely not. ITC and the OAUG are happy to make these courses open to anyone. Moreover, the two organizations have designed the price to be budget friendly, which is welcome news to IT Managers forced to find training alternatives that fit into their slim budgets.

The only "catch" is that OAUG members do receive an addition 25% discount.

Just Where in New York and San Francisco are These Worskhops Held?

IT Convergence is Hosting these Workshops in its offices in San Francisco and New York. Both offices are centrally located, with the San Francisco office only a stone’s throw from the Transamerica building and Embarcadero Center, while the New York office is in downtown Manhattan, only a few blocks from Wall Street.

Both locations offer convenient access to public transportation, and discount rates at nearby hotels are available.
