Last week we had our webcast: “Accelerate Software Adoption with Ancile uPerform” where Ancile uPerform experts walked us through the features of this comprehensive enterprise performance support solution. Today we bring you the transcript of the Q&A session. If you missed the webcast, feel free to downlad the recording here.

When do teams usually start using Ancile uPerform during an implementation?
Training is not always part of the planning of a project, but actually, the ideal point to start using Ancile uPerform is when you start discussing the applications you will be rolling out. Ancile uPerform allows you to document the business process procedures, configuration, testing and the training materials. This way, you will get the most benefit out of it if you start using Ancile uPerform at the beginning of the project.

How can I use Ancile uPerform after the go-live to help users?
Once a project is live is where you will see a huge benefit in using Ancile uPerform. uPerform focuses not only in content creation, but also in supplying that content to your users at the time of need. After the project is live and users have gone through a first training, having the support materials easily accessible will make users much more effective and reduce the number of calls to the support team.

What’s the difference between Ancile uPerform and Adobe Captivate?
Ancile uPerform is an enterprise performance support solution that accommodates different learning styles, comes in 32 different languages, and has rich authoring and content management capability. Captivate is really a recording tool, it could be used by someone in the training department to quickly record content, but that’s it – it’s no comprehensive solution.

We have a large team of subject matter experts. How does the uPerform licensing work?
Ancile uPerform is licensed by named users who consume content. If you are a consumer of content, you need a license. Our licenses have no restriction for number of people who can create content – you could be an author, reviewer or consumer of content - it’s all a decision of the administrator.
